Case Swappie Revisited - Carefully implemented Business modeling improves forecasting accuracy
Swappie Group (later Swappie) was selected as the Target Company for this example report. Argon Pro carried out the first Swappie analysis and valuation about a year ago in November 2023.

As presented in a Report about a year ago, Swappie's financial position has been quite challenging. This report follows the actual financial results and achievements for the financial year 2023. This report is also a follow-up report presenting how well the forecast for 2023, prepared by Argon Pro, "hit" the actual achievements. This report describes in particular the benefits of carefully implemented business modeling.

Swappie's financial forecasting and its accuracy for 2023 demonstrate that carefully executed business modeling can yield highly precise results, even with only public data and well-grounded assumptions. Key points include:

-
Swappie's free cash flow for 2023 differed by only 1 % from the forecast prepared by Argon Pro, based on a projected Revenue level of approximately €210 million. This highlights the ability to present forecasts with high realism.

Conclusion: The 2023 forecasting accuracy showed that a well-designed cash flow-based business model can be invaluable tool for business planning and decision-making. However, accurate forecasting alone cannot solve a company's challenges - it also requires proactive measures to improve outcomes.
